Project Completed: Empowering Immigrant IT Professionals

WeCode Platform is proud to announce the successful completion of the Empowering Immigrant IT Professionals project, which ran from April to June 2025. This 3-month initiative supported unemployed Turkish-speaking immigrant IT professionals in Finland, helping them build stronger English communication and soft skills to enhance their job prospects in the local tech industry.

Throughout the program, participants took part in:

• Weekly online English training sessions focused on IT-specific language, professional email writing, presentations, and interview preparation.
• Soft skills workshops covering topics such as the Finnish job market, CV and cover letter writing, LinkedIn optimization, networking strategies, and job interview practice.
• In-person practice and networking events, where participants engaged in role-play exercises, team-building tasks, and direct interaction with professionals from the Finnish IT ecosystem.

💡 Impact Highlights:

• Over 80% of participants reported improved confidence in professional English communication and workplace interactions.
• Many participants expressed increased readiness for job interviews and a better understanding of Finnish working culture.
• New professional networks were formed, strengthening community ties among immigrant IT professionals.

All participants have successfully completed the program and received their certificates of participation.
